BBC 2025 Spring Interim Schedule

Given differences in daylight saving time schedules, the BBC World Service will be on a three-week interim schedule prior to the summer schedule.

The 2025 spring interim schedule is effective Sunday, March 9 through Saturday, March 29, 2025.

Interim Schedule Highlights

·  Newshour

o   Weekday editions remain the same with an extra edition at 3 p.m. ET.

o   Weekend 8 a.m. ET editions shift one hour to 9 a.m. ET. This change impacts scheduling on March 9, March 15, March 16, March 22, March 23, and March 29.

o   Weekend 4 p.m. ET editions remain consistent during the interim schedule, with an extra edition at 5 p.m. ET.

·  BBC OS

o   Editions move forward one hour to 12 p.m. ET and 1 p.m. ET.

·  The Newsroom

o   There will be no 2 p.m. ET edition Sunday – Friday.

The BBC summer schedule will take effect on Sunday March 30, 2025. We will share details of that schedule change once they are finalized.
